About Us
Heirloom
Gardens is a multi-plot urban farm and Neighborhood Supported
Agriculture (NSA) program. Heirloom Gardens produce is available through
the NSA and at the Highland Farmers' Market. In addition, Heirloom
Gardens offers classes in cooking, backyard chicken and goat keeping,
and home gardening.
Heirloom Gardens is organized by Sundari
Kraft. Sundari is a
Colorado native and has lived in this beautiful state her entire life.
Her passion for growing things was fueled by the writings of Barbara
Kingsolver, Joan Dye Gussow and Michael Pollan.
Sundari learned to cook
by working at the renowned
Shoshoni Yoga Retreat,
which has published two cookbooks. She also spent time doing private
dining management for one of Denver's best fine dining restaurants, and
learned all she could about food preparation and presentation. When she's not in the
garden, Sundari enjoys eating lots of good food, playing the
violin, reading, meditating, and spending time with her friends and
family.
